From the Desk of the Business Manager:
Thanks to everyone who supported me in the election. It has been very busy, so I have not gotten out to  Thank   everyone.  We are in the middle of several contract negotiations.  Getting everything changed over on the finance side.  Going over finances and records from past to get up to speed on the business end of things.  I want every member to know our door is always open and we are just a phone call way.

LOCAL 571 ON THE MOVE:

The Officers / Agents have been working hard for the members.   The hall has had some facelifts and organization.  The view on the work for the future is wide and strong, but can only happen when we work together and stand united.  There are so many things to address: contracts, meetings, training, Legislative, safety issues, etc…   and most important communication.  We will try to keep you updated through this newsletter and our monthly union meetings.

As of September 9, I have taken over the Stationary Business Representative position.  It has been a very busy first few weeks.  I have met a lot of members and look forward to meeting all of you soon.  As many of you know, Denny Smith has been working along side me during the transition.  We have been in contract negotiations and meeting on the current wage study that is close to being complete.   I would like to Thank Denny for all his help. I look forward to being your Union Representative and building a good working relationship with you.
Please contact me if there are any questions.
