Training Schedule
Please call to confirm actual class times.

In response to requests, I have begun scheduling classes on Sundays and in the evenings during the week. The start times for the classes vary. The evening classes will begin promptly at 6PM and end at 10PM. The Sunday classes' start time will vary depending on the class. The OSHA 10 HR class will begin at 7AM and end around 5PM, any HAZWOPER class will also begin at 7AM and end at 5PM. First Aid CPR/AED classes will begin at 8AM and end at 4PM.

If you still want to get into the NCCCO written test on the 20th of April, you are still able to submit a late application. You must have your application submitted to the International Assessment Institute prior to the 14th of April, and you must pay an additional $50.00 late fee. If you have any questions about the time frames, please call.

There is an NCCCO practical exam scheduled on the 22nd of June 2008. There are only 9 slots available for this test day. Each specialty takes 1 hour to administer. If you want to take both the large hydraulic and small hydraulic, this will take 2 slots out of the 9. Please make sure when you sign up for the Practical Test THAT YOU WILL SHOW UP for the test, this way you will not take a slot from a fellow Brother/Sister who might also need the test.

We do have a rough terrain forklift at the Training Site now, for anyone who needs any additional training or seat time. Also, if your forklift card is expired, just call the Training Site to see when you can get set up to take your test.

There were several requests for the HAZWOPER 8 HR refresher after the first class was conducted. Because of this, we have scheduled another 8HR refresher during an evening course on the 23rd and 24th of April, 2008. This is a Wednesday and Thursday night class.

We now are a Third Party Tester for the Nebraska CDL. We have to trucks ready for practice driving for any 571 member. The testing, however, is only available to Nebraska Residents. Unfortunately, Iowa DOT does not recognize any testing done outside of Iowa.

Once again I must remind all who sign up for classes here at the Training Site: If you do not attend the class that you signed up for, before you can sign up for any other training you will be required to have a $25.00 deposit check on file here at the Training Site. Please do not sign up for a class that you are not going to attend, as this could be taking a slot from another Brother/Sister who might need the class more than you do.

Don't forget, UNION meetings are always the second Thursday of the month, starting at 8PM at the Nebraska AFL/CIO hall.
If you have any questions, please call Kirsten or Gary at the Training Site at (402)571-4939
